**Are you ready to join a growing team?** CTG is seeking to fill a Business Data Analyst II opening for our client in New York. **Location:** Remote **Duration:** 7 months **Overview:** This position supports the Treasury value stream by collaborating with report owners to document current report production processes and converting them into actionable business and data requirements. The Business Data Analyst II will contribute to the implementation of the Enterprise Data Management Program through activities such as data governance, quality monitoring, metadata documentation, issue management, and analytics. The role offers a unique opportunity to apply data expertise while gaining exposure to banking operations. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Collaborate with report owners to document and translate report production processes into business and data requirements + Support the implementation of the Data Management Program within the assigned area + Document metadata for identified critical data elements + Calculate metrics to measure compliance with data policies and standards + Assist in monitoring data quality and support remediation efforts + Analyze data sets using business intelligence tools to derive actionable insights + Maintain accurate data issue remediation documentation + Adhere to company risk and regulatory standards + Promote diversity and reflect the M&T Bank brand values + Support internal control standards and address audit/regulatory issues + Complete other related duties as assigned **Scope of Responsibilities:** + Operates under general supervision while supporting the data needs of the Treasury value stream + Coordinates with multiple internal teams including business analysts, data owners, and technology staff + Plays a key role in ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and governance across projects **Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:** + This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities **Education and Experience Required:** + Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of professional experience, OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years of higher education and/or work experience including at least 1 year of professional experience + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving abilities + Proficient in spreadsheets, graphing, and presentation tools + Familiarity with financial modeling + Technical familiarity with SQL or SAS + Experience writing business documents and technical requirements + Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision **Education and Experience Preferred:** + Experience in the banking or data management industry + Working knowledge of Data Management principles and best practices + Familiarity with banking products, systems, and workflows + Proficiency with project and presentation software Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $25.00/hour to $40.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
